NzingaNetwork

Record your language.On your terms.

An invite-only network of people who record voice notes in their own languages. Members choose who can use every recording.

Invite-only

Members join with an invite code from someone they know. They start with three invites and earn one more for every accepted hour. Each code works once. An invite bonus goes to the direct inviter only, so nobody earns from the people others bring in.

Record in your own language

Members sign in with the phone number they already have and record voice notes in their own languages. Guided sessions give ideas to record from everyday life: greetings, market day, family stories. A native speaker checks each recording.

Four choices

For every recording, the member decides who can use it. The choices are always these four, in this order. Each wider choice includes every narrower one.

Paid for your own voice

Members are paid per accepted minute, only for their own voice, and only when they chose to share it. When a partner licenses recordings that include theirs, part of what the partner pays comes back to them. Real rates are set before launch, and the app shows the rate from the server.

Contacts are hashed

Contacts are read only if the member allows it. Each number becomes a one-way code on the phone, and only the codes are sent. The server keeps none of them. Hashing limits casual exposure; it does not make a number secret, so requests are capped and rate-limited too.

Sovereignty

The aim is African control of the tokenizer, the data, the standard and the infrastructure. Much of that is not true yet. No training text comes with community consent or from African partners. Nothing is hosted in Africa. No benefit-sharing agreement exists. Each layer is measured, so progress can be tracked.
